It will get better: You have high Progesterone levels right now, they slow the stomach emptying and relax the band of muscle that keeps stomach from coming back into your esophagus (food tube). That is one reason women have nausea and vomiting early in pregnancy. Eat small, healthy meals. Avoid spicy food. Drink lots of water. It usually gets better by 12 weeks. Tums (calcium carbonate) can help with burning.

Zofran (ondansetron) is used to: Treat nausea. If you are refluxing food the best treatment is to eliminate the pressure on your stomach. Eat frequent small meals, elevate the head of your bed. Sleep on the left side and avoid meals within 2 hours of bedtime. If this does not work or you are refluxing acid you may need medication. The most important thing is to keep your OB in the loop.
