Complications: Not removing a cyst can lead to bigger problems. A cyst is a fluid filled bag of tissue. As it grows the bag enlarges with more fluid and can erode the bone of jaw. This can weaken the bone causing fractures, damage the roots of teeth and press on nerves, muscles, and other tissues. They often get infected. The surgery to remove them is common and with good results.

Cyst: If you have it removed your symptoms will disappear. If you don't have it removed, the symptoms will continue or worsen, the underlying bone may become eroded, and/or your overlying mucosal tissues may become damaged. Please see a Periodontist or an Oral Surgeon for immediate relief.
