Laceration. : Well, you definitely need a tetanus shot. Outside of that, if it's been less than six hours at this point, stitches may be beneficial for healing and ultimate cosmetic result. We tend not to stitch closed lacerations that have remained open more than six hours because it increases the chance of the cut becoming infected.
