What?: Doctors don't presume. They do tests and establish a diagnosis. If your diagnosis was established the tests and medical notes can be requested from your az doctors.

Tests for MS: The primary tests are the history, physical exam, MRI of the brain, MRI of the cervical spinal cord, and spinal tap. To learn how the diagnosis is made, try this question and answer tool http://www.neurocuro.com/how-do-you-know-if-you-have-ms/

Maybe these: The basic standard involves MRI imaging, and may be useful to check both brain and spinal cord. Lumbar puncture may be helpful. Do consider alternative causes, such as lupus, arteritis/vasculitis, CADASIL, Lyme disease, B-12 deficiency, anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, HIV, etc.
