Is there a treatment for familial polyposis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

FAP IS AN INHERITED: Condition in which numerous polyps form throughout the bowel. If you have a few, they can be endoscopically remomed. However, with time they become too numerous to treat this way individually. To prevent cancer, surgery is indicated, usually late teens to early 20's. But remember, these polyps can reccur throughout your stomach, snall and large bowels so close surveillance is definitely a must.
