875 mg twice a day: You should discuss with your physician that prescribed this for you but generally the dose of Amoxicillin for tonsillitis/pharyngitis is 875 mg two times daily for 10 days.

Amoxicillin dose: For a person who has normal functioning kidneys the dose is 500 mg twice per day for 10 days. If you take any other medications it is best to speak with a physician before taking this medication.
