Welders flash: Welders flash usually presents as a foreign body sensation. You should wear goggles when you weld. If you have symptoms it would be advisable to have an ophthalmologist evaluate you.

Could be flash burn: Use protective eye gear when welding: otherwise can cause a painful corneal abrasion: see eyeMD for antibiotic drop. If just irritation after welding with eye gear: use cold artificial tears. If pain, see eyeMD.
