Conjunctivitis: Pink/Red Eye. Most likely. Apply cold compresses. Wash the hand before touching anything else so as to privet spread of this infection to other eye or to some one else. If not better in the AM, or eye is shut with Crusty discharge , have her see either her Ophthalmologist or PCP. She may need Antibiotic Ointment.

Watch out, most conjunctivitis is viral, and antibiotics won't do much but cost a lot. There is a test your doc might have that can tell the difference.
