A member asked:

I'm still very nervous about retinal detachment, can you comfort me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Is this simply concern that you might get one in the future? Or is there a family history? If you actually have one you should be in the office of a retinal surgeon. Otherwise detachments are uncommon and usually have a lot of symptoms and therapy continues to improve so results frequently are quite good.
