Like coronary stents: The placement of an Internal mesh of wires which act as a reinforcement for the artery walls. Usually placed from the groin, where the "cage" of wires are threaded to correct placement, then expanded. Very similar to coronary artery stenting but about 10 to 15 times larger in diameter. And much longer.

Good option: Endovascular repair of a thoracic aneurysm is a type of surgical repair in which a stent is placed from the inside of the aorta which effectively replaces the aneurysmal portion of aorta. This approach carries less risks than the standard repair and has a shorter recovery time.
