Can you make it to the hospital after a thoracic aneurysm ruptures?

Aortic aneurysm : Possibly, if the hospital is close and you are diagnosed quickly, and the hospital has open heart capabilities. So, it is better to avoid the emergency and have it followed closely so that if the aneurysm enlarges you can have a planned surgery.

Yes: If the leak is contained by adventitia or surrounding tissue for a while. Ascending will likely need surgery. Descending may be watched or endograft depending on status.

Maybe: If it ruptures and it is contained, then you can get to the hospital in time to get treatment. If it ruptures and is uncontained, you will have massive bleeding and would likely die quickly. This is why repairs are offered when the aneurysm grows fast or reaches a certain size. At this point the risks of surgery would be less than the risks of rupture. You should be followed annually for this.
