Snack on veggies: I advise my own patients to not eat 3 hours before bedtime. Because most people who eat after dinner do so for reasons other than hunger--reward, companionship, sadness, boredom- and usually eat high calorie, high sugar foods (and occasionally fourth meals). So if you want to eat after 7pm, after dinner, eat something with crunch, with few calories, and make yourself sit down with a plate.
