Gastritis: If the gastritis is from food poisoning, arsenicum album might help. Other homeopathic remedies that can help people with gastritis are bryonia, chelidonium, graphites, lycopodium, and nux vomica. If you're having chronic issues with this though, please consult a well-trained classical homeopath who can take your whole case. That way, you'll be more likely to find a remedy that works.

Home rx of gastritis: Currently the home remedies are quite good. Starting with otc antacids, you can then move up to otc zantac, (ranitidine) or even better, otc prilosec. Remember that these otc drugs are provided in just half their usually prescribed dosages, so you may need to double up. Diet changes--reducing acids, alcohol, soda, coffee will also help. Reducing stress through relaxatin will help. Last resort: h pylori test.

Gastritis: First, avoid foods that exacerbate symptoms: fats, fried foods, spicy foods, caffeine/pop, medications like nsaids. Tums, (calcium carbonate) etc or sodium bicarbonate may help relieve symptoms. Otc acid blockers are available, but if you need one of those, you should be evaluated by a doc to determine the cause & optimal treatment.
