Why is it that walking makes my ulcerative colitis worse?

Not intestinal: Walking per se will not make the inflammation in your colon worse. If you are having pain when you walk, it is likely that it is not related to the colon inflammation. Have you checked with a physical therapist to evaluate the pain and where it is likely coming from?
