Not really true: Teens get the most acne because of the androgen surge and i suspect some unknown immune factors involving the bacteria. I was able to stop treating my acne at age 50, and a surge in cortisol or adrenal androgens later in life will make acne flare. It's always manageable nowadays. Best wishes.
