Hyperpigmentation: Dark spots from acne or other skin irritation are a manifestation of inflammation. These dark spots sometimes resolves when the inflammation or skin irritation resolves. If 6-12 months ensue and hyperpigmentation continues, you may require a prescription of Triluma or Kligmans formula. These creams contain hydroquinone, which may help to fade dark spots. Good Luck!
