Healthy breakfast: Hi. Oatmeal and whole wheat toast is a very healthy breakfast. Splenda - meh! But oatmeal and 100% whole wheat toast still has quite a bit of digestible carbohydrate. Cereal in general, even healthy whole grain ones are brutal on blood sugar. Many type 2's need insulin; meal insulins would sure help that. The GLP-1 agonist drugs are also GREAT for covering meals. Talk with your doc! Good luck!
