Meralgia: If the numbness is on the front outside (anterolateral) thigh, this could be meralgia paresthetica. If the numbness is along the front of the thigh, this could be femoral neuropathy. Inside of thigh, think obturator neuropathy. None of the above are related to the piriformis muscle or sciatic nerve.
