Peads endo consult: Your child needs to be in follow up of well trained pediatric endocrinologist. Without knowing more specific details i could not give you more information. There could be several causes for low calcium in this age group and this needs to be worked up and he should be receiving appropriate calcium supplementation and may also require Calcitriol ( active form of vitamin d) based on the diagnosis.
