Sometimes: If they tried multiple times to do the lumbar puncture, but failed, it could certainly be sore. The needle is being passed through tissue and you could have a bruise or hematoma causing the pain. You need to be aware of leg pain, numbness or weakness. Should those symptoms develop, seek immediate care to rule out an epidural hematoma.

Yesterday morning I fell down our staircase app 5-6 steps. I now have a massive black/purlpe bruise on my lower back that got larger as the day went on. My arms are sore and stiff at the back of them and my left arm is sore when I lift it. Right?
