Doubt: Jumping to the conclusion of brain tumor is extreme, especially with lack of any other symptoms. However, sinusitis is a reasonable assumption to treat in cases of cacosmia (strange smell). Continue to follow with your doctor as he works through this. As you alluded, 2 doses is too early.

Gas smell: First of all, make absolutely sure there is not a gas smell in the house. Leave the house if you live alone and have the gas company check the house. If you live with others, and they do not notice the gas smell, you have a smell distortion and should have this checked by an ENT doctor. The ENT can scope your nose and check it to make sure there is not any issue with the nose at the skull base.
