Seek Help: A stye is usually from inflammation of an eyelash follicle or a lid-margin tear duct. These can usually be treated simply with warm compresses. When this doesn't work and/or you continue to have them you should see an ophthalmologist to determine the cause of the recurrence and/or more aggressive/invasive treatment. With recurrent lesions there is always the fear of secondary infection.
