About how long can a person expect a fixed bridge connected to a canine with one pontic to last before a replacement may be necessary?

Bridge lifespan: There is a wide variation in the lifespan of a fixed bridge, depending on how well it is made and how well you can keep it clean. The bridge can last 10 to 20 years. An implant would have longer lifespan.

Depends: Depends on a lot of factors but this maybe a guideline for you...Typically insurance companies will cover a replacement every 7 years. That said, i would be very disappointed in a bridge i placed did not last longer.

7-10 years: That is an average but if the bridge and teeth are brushed and flossed which means flossing under the bridge as well, the bridge can last much longer.

How many abutments?: Does the canine have root canal therapy? How is the bite? Other teeth missing? Many factors needs to be considered, but on average fixed bridgework lasts about 10 years. It's considered durable goods.. it will last a long time but not forever.
