Other causes: This is a very tough diagnosis - am sorry. One thought is to look for any other treatable contributors such as heavy metal or toxin exposures. There are doctors who can test and treat these. Take a look at the institute for functional medicine's website to find practitioners who might be able to help. Also the american academy of environmental medicine may have trained physicians in your area.

No, none!: Would be nice to find such approaches in this devastating condition, but does NOT exist. Even our approved medication, Riluzole does very little.
