Thyroid disease: Hashimotos is an autoimmune disorder where the body attacks the thyroid gland and eventually makes it not function properly.Early symptoms may show signs of hyperthyroidism:sweating, irritability, oily skin, weight loss but this changes to hypothyroidism and here we measure your tsh, T3 (liothyronine) and T4 and replace the hormone with tablets.

Hypothyroidism: Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune hypothyroidism. Symptoms can be depression, fatigue, headaches, hair loss, insomnia, weight gain and many others. Treatment is thyroid medication.

Hashimoto's ds…: Is an auto-immune disorder that affects the thyroid gland, causing inflammation, that usually leads to underactivity of the gland. Sx develop slowly as thyroid fnx drops: fatigue, constipation, high cholesterol, weight gain, muscle aches/weakness, depression, etc. If thyroid hormone level is low, your doc will give medicine to restore normal fnx. Hashimoto's: Hashimoto's is an autoimmune thyroid disease caused by antibodies destruction to the thyroid tissues. Over time, part of the thyroid will be destroy causing hypothyroidism. Symptoms of hypothyroidism are fatigue, hair loss, hoarse voice, slower speech, depressed, brittle nails, dry skin, feeling cold, constipation, weight gain...Treatment is to give back thyroid hormone with levothyroxine (a pill).

Also recommend: Selenium supplementation for six months has been shown to reduce tpo antibodies. I would also recommend a diet that will reduce inflammation (devoid of sugars, fried foods, veggie oils) plus search for cause of "autoimmunity" - gluten or other food allergies, mold ....
