Get checked: I am not sure of your injury type. Most wrist fractures heal fine. However, there is a particular fracture called the navicular bone that can have permanent damage if not treated appropriately. Get checked, it is too easy and needs done.

See physician: If your wrist hurts, and is swollen after trauma, get it looked at and xrayed. There are many fractures that need treatment to have the best result. I do not recommend benign neglect.
