Hives: Topical anti-itch such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Hydrocortisone creams can help the external itch. It is also safe to breast feed while using an over the counter oral antihistamine such as Cetirizine or fexofenadine or loratadine.

Anti-histamine: Generally anti-histamines can be used during pregnancy, so i'd think you could use one while nursing also. You baby's pediatrician may have experience with this kind of problem, ideas, or suggestions.
