Autistic kids: This is a tough one and you should talk to a developmental psychologist as austism is a wide variety spectrum of symptoms and each child needs to be treated individually. Usually postive reinforcement works but it depends on the degree of autism and which part of the spectrum your child falls in.

Patience: You will need patience and different behaviors will need different methods. An aba (behavior specialist) would be of immense help in this area for you. Patience and persistence will be very helpful.

No one simple answer: Due to the extremes in variability in ability to communicate in this multifaceted disorder, there is no one correct way to achieve the teaching you desire to correct bad behavior. Even the premise "bad behavior" is often in the eye of the beholder. Generally one must use the most effective communication form and direct the child away from the undesirable action. There can be many strategies.
