A member asked:

I had skipped heart beats and went to a doctor and the ekg test came back fine, but my heart still skips occasionally, unsure why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Monitor: It would be helpful to identify the type of extrasystoles you're having by having an ekg while you're having them or wearing a holter monitor for 24 hours as an outpatient and seeing the extra beats on the tape. In the meantime avoid caffeine, alcohol, chocolate and minimize stress. If you have no heart muscle or valve problems, you're most likely having benign single premature beats.
