When would doctors combine ritalin with strattera (atomoxetine) ? if every medication alone didn't show benefits ?

If optimal effect is: Not achieved or side effects preclude titrating doses of methylphenidate (ritalin, concerta, focalin) or amphetamine (adderall, vyvanse) to optimal effect, adding a non-stimulant (strattera, intuniv, kapvay) may help. Strattera (atomoxetine) is part of the Prozac molecule ; adds some serotonin effect to your zoloft. Consider one of the other non-stimulants that won't increase risk of "serotonin syndrome".
