A member asked:

Is there any relationship between an ear infection and sores inside the mouth for a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually: Sores in the mouth are usually a sign of a viral infection. Ear pain with a viral infection may be from referred pain from the mouth but may also be associated with an infection of the ear. If pain does not improvep in 48 hours, examination by primary care provider would be appropriate.
