Most primary: Care physicians i've worked with and even myself treat eczema and tinea /fungal at the same time with combo of steroid and anti fungal since apperance of the two conditions are very similar.Most dermatologists on the other hand would confidently diagnose each condition thus treat them accordingly.What u r doing seems reasonable to me.
