On a chest xray it said on the lungs there was mild, minimal interstitial scarring but no sign of focal consolidation. what's is this, is it serious?

OLD INFECTION: The mild intersticial scarring is not serious;however, may be indicative of recovery from pneumonia or bronchitis. This is also seen in smokers.
