You can!: There are several suggestions for dealing with a baby biting during nursing. My favorite is to say "no bite" and out him down. I think he'll quickly get the message. Good luck and try to keep nursing.

Consistent response: Your baby does not know "right or wrong" yet. So as he starts doing something you do not approve of - in this case biting while nursing- you must have a consistent response. Take him off breast for 30-60 seconds while telling him firmly but lovingly "no biting" and repeat that the zillion times it takes him to get the message. (it won't take a zillion, but the message must be every time he bites).
