Treating anxiety: Xanax (alprazolam) & meds like it won't fix it but can result in addiction. Alone they are the worst treatment for anxiety, not good 4 u or baby. The 2 lies anxiety tells us are 1) that something bad is very likely to happen (when in fact it is far less likely) & 2) that if it happens it'll be catastrophic (when usually there is a way through it). Find a therapist who specializes in treating anxiety disorders

Xanax (alprazolam) Effects: You are a Caring Mother! Commend yourself that you have not taken Xanax (alprazolam) for 3 months while you are nursing your infant. It seems that your anxiety was overwhelming for which you needed relief, and took Xanax (alprazolam) Taking a single dose of Xanax (alprazolam) usually does not cause any problems, there is usually no need to wait to resume breastfeeding.
