Does the use of heat for treatment of general bruises/contusions the same as the use of it for treatment of "head" bruises/contusions or different?

Same: The principles are the same if you're referring to scalp contusions and not brain injuries. Of course with head injuries you have to be on the lookout for worsening headaches, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, confusion, etc which would raise the suspicion of associated brain injury.
