I was dig nosed with strep without a test.. now i have a painful and nasty cough. is that associated with the tail end of strep ?

To be expected: If you were diagnosed with strep throat by your doctor then you should be on the proper antibiotic please follow through so you don't develop any lung infection.

I presume ur: Dr just assumed that u had strep throat based on clinical findings and not on culture or blood work for strep antibodies. Ur cough is not related to the sorethroat. Cough with phlegm is bronchitis which could be from a viral or bacterial infection. Taking otc cough meds would help. I presume u had been prescribed antibiotics. Follow up with ur dr for any concern.Takr care!
