A few comments: Hi YAmin, Based on your description, I suspect your chest pain is most likely from muscle strain from severe coughing. Regarding diagnosis of strep throat vs bronchitis, we use the centor score or similar criteria to help us decide if we need to run further tests and prescribe antibiotics.
