More to it.: Dandy Walker is a congenital syndrome with many abnormalities. Some of which are the shape of the fluid pathways around the brain. OFten tubes are needed for drainage because they are deformed and don't drain and pressure builds up on the brain (hydrocephalus). Cysts/deformities often occur and can cause mental problems.
