Not reported: I did a literature search and could not find any reports of hemoptysis - coughing up blood - related to e-cigs. However, if you have coughed up blood, this is always an urgent symptom and should be evaluated by your doctor as soon as possible. If there is a large amount of blood you should see a doctor urgently. While ecigs may prove to be somewhat safer than smoking, nobody really knows.
