Yes: Sub dural hematomas can bleed slowly due to ruptuer of the bridging veins between the skull and the brain linings. Becuse these are veins they are under low pressure and will stop bleeding when the the pressure inside the brain equals that of the venous pressure. There can also be bleeding inside the substance of the brain usually associated with swelling (cerebral contusion).
