It depends: It depends on how severe your depression is. Psychotherapy can be very helpful for depression, and exercise has been shown to be as effective as antidepressants in some cases. If you also avoid alcohol and recreational drugs, get regular sleep, reach out to friends and family, eat healthily, and involve yourself in activities and causes which are meaningful to you, depressive symptoms may remit.
