A member asked:

Could i be allergic to novocaine or lidocaine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally, yes: Practically any drug can cause allergic reaction. Having said that, the true allergy, defined as a reaction mediated by antibodies etc., is more common to novocaine, than to lidociane, particularly if it is in preservative- free solution. Your doctor will help you to determine the right answer after gathering a bit more information. Hope that helps.
