A member asked:

Could prenisone have long term effects on a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Since Prednisone is a similar to a stress product made naturally in the body, it can be given at doses that have little or no long term effect. In other cases, if given at higher doses over a longer term, it can produce a variety of side effects including growth suppression, cataracts, impaired immunity, etc.
