See below: Temporary visual loss is possible with migraines, such as migraines with aura and retinal migraines. Migraine with aura: The migraine aura is a neurosensory disturbance that includes a series of idiopathic, recurring neurologic symptoms. Common symptoms include visual disturbances during which the patient may describe visual changes. These changes may include geometric patterns obscuring the visual field and temporary visual loss.
