Potentially yes.: Facet block is by and large a diagnostic tool but can be therapeutic as well. Commonly however the pain is rarely gone forever and will come back. If however facet pain is established as a diagnosis( this being the prime reason for the block in the first place), treatment options do exist that allow for long periods( months) of good pain relief to be experienced.
