Likely: Stabbing sharp pains in the chest which are worsened with breathing qualify as what physicians call "pleuritic" chest pain because they usually indicate an irritation of the lining of the chest - the pleural surface which has sensory endings similar to those seen on the skin that localize pain very specifically (locationwize) and very intensely. Pleuritic pain is frequently from benign causees.
