Then it's not normal: Insist on a straight answer from your physician. If this is not forthcoming, phone the lab that did the CBC. A high MCV may simply be you, reflect the presence of a cold agglutinin, or warn of real illness

Your question?: Anything from low thyroid to lowish B12 to lowish folate (folic acid) to being a drinker to havng a cold agglutinin that causes occasional pairs of red cells to be counted as one.
