Simple: don't smoke: For problems with most substances that people use, there are two diagnoses: abuse (using too much and having it cause problems, but not addicted) and dependence (addiction). Except nicotine - there is no "nicotine abuse." anyone who continues to use tobacco will become addicted. The same is true for all nicotine, including "vapor pens, " which some think are safer than than tobacco. They are not!
