BCAA and nutrition: Branch chain amino acids is a measurement used to assess the nutritional status of a patient with chronic kidney disease. It is not a measure of kidney function per se. Malnutrion is common in patients with chronic kidney disease especially on dialysis and this appears to be a more sensitive test than serum albumin which usually drops later in the progression of renal disease.

Both effective.: While they work by different mechanisms, BCAAs and Creatine are effective for building muscle. Just take a prudent amount of each - more is not better for these. Be smart.
